If Beethoven was challenged to compose a symphony via an electronic device that does not have the same rich vibratory quality that his hands can produce manually, he would nevertheless employ the same creative processes to produce something magical that impels the human spirit toward a higher dimension of awareness. Likewise, the Fine Artist, challenged with a digital medium has the ability to produce a visually exciting experience that transports the senses from the mundane to a level of aesthetic pleasure. One such moment can electrify the viewer even though it may be experienced at an unconscious level” Shereen Miller

Although these various techno devises have been created to imitate art, can these devices replace the human spirit through which Fine Art is extruded or the understanding of the universal principles that govern timeless art?

This in no way implies that today’s masters of Fine Art should deny themselves the exploration and experimentation of the new digital media. On the contrary, they should be well versed in all aspects of digital innovations in order to transcend the norm, challenge the precepts of their time, expand the boundaries of art and create new visual paradigms

“The mastery of drawing, of draftsmanship-the fundamental basis of Fine Art has been replaced by cameras, projectors, computers, software and other gadgetry that often jeopardizes a deep and profound achievement of creative expression.

Computer software has been created to simulate an artist’s brush work although it obviously lacks  the technique or finesse of a true artist but has nevertheless created more imitators of art than ever before deceiving those  know no more than they do.”
